The return of IBADAN, includes silky smooth singer, (Mark Swaby) Knyne (pronounced 'NINE') and Burna (Peter Anthony), well noted for thrilling audiences with homage paid to the pioneers of reggae with strong Studio One sets, Bob Marley tributes and Dennis Brown standards. Called ‘the tightest band in reggae today’, by promoter Allan Jones, IBADAN took audiences on a forty-year reggae journey at any given performance and left them wanting more and more.

Among the bands' route to success, was their propensity to write, produce and to perform their own, original music for which there are over 100 tunes written. The mark was original reggae bass lines by "one Burner" morphed to Burna and incredible lead vocals by Knyne. Their first album "Do It" received airplay on radio stations worldwide, and was received with much acclaim.

What was evident from day one was the trust and chemistry that both Mark and Peter shared. They are one on stage, knowing when to move a song or a set to entertain their various audiences. An experienced duo who have opened for reggae icons like Tony Rebel, Joseph Hill and Culture, Luciano, Gregory and Freddy MacGregor to name a few.

Putting together this dynamic combination of Burna # Knyne places them on path which bodes well for Canadian Reggae as well as the international marketplace, free to pursue and explore a more dynamic delivery of their music.
