RaLion Describes his style as "conscious"; "It's all about the music." And music has been a nurturing force in his life from as far back as he can remember. "I was raised on music, it is like breathing to me." His early years with his mother Patti in Australia and then To ronto laid the foundation for his love of music. He counts Chuck Berry, Fats Domino, Bob Marley and the incomparable Burning Spear as his major influences. RaLion began his musical career playing percussion at 13 years old and progressed to singing with bands when he was 15. His unique phrasing and audience connection have garnered favour with the crowds at venues like Fez Boutique, El Macombo, Pepper Jack, Original Motorcycle Club, and the Lava Lounge. On the street he's known as Jaustralian and Kangaroots.

RaLion has collaborated vocally with Foundation Crew's Whitey Don, Raffa Dean, Bernie Pitters from Toots and the Maytels, Big Sugar's Gary 'Iban' Lowe, Sattelites, Truths and Rights, Dreamband, and The Resonators Maximum Dub Band. He has spent the past few years developing his musical flavour and writing his own songs. Recently he co-wrote a number of songs with Whitey Don.

RaLion believes in the purity of music. His thoughts on performing… "It's not about the glitz and the glamour, it's about the energy and the vibe - the joy on the smiling faces looking back at you."
