I Don't Know

“I don’t know.”

Three words we hate to admit to yet they define us and turn us into sheep.

We take ‘advice’ from our leaders who throw a TON of information at whatever situation we face and with that we lazy folks / sheep just go along docile like.  Daily!  The situation blows up in their faces then they send more information and explain why it went wrong but they are not wrong.  What they can and will never say, is “I don’t know.”

When there is some level of education (kindergarten, grade school, middle school, college, university, self taught), you soon realize that the more you find out, is the more the bullshit stories that you were once told, come from a TON of people who don’t know.  They have never known!
Yet “Knowledge is power” and so we embrace ‘sheepdom’ allowing some manipulator of “the knowledge” to tell us what to think and what rules to follow, even if the information that we were given starts to contradict itself.  We do not even question the contradictions of the knowledge or the contradictions within our own minds and souls.   We move with the ‘flock’ without question.

We are voluntarily ‘sheepified’ by those who assume that ‘flashlight in the dark’ role for us and we happily follow them.  We know the signs of the crap story that we are all expected to swallow and we voluntarily go along, even if the situation seems somewhat fishy.  We sheep don’t question.  Most feel helpless to the situations that arise.

God made the world in seven days.

He gave ‘man’ dominion over all things.  He meant the human male we are told.  Females are supposed to be a part of man’s dominion.  Well, we really screwed the pooch on that one.  I heard some statistic once that the main cause of death for men in a heart attack and the number one cause of death for women are men.  Nice job on the ‘dominion’ thing huh?  So we wonder why women innately do not trust men?  On top of everything else, we kill them!

Then there is the other ideology of Darwin’s Theory of evolution.  This is an even larger pile of shit story being given to us to offset the other considered stupidity (I don’t know) that some great being created heaven and earth.  This one is one of my favorite bullshit stories. So we were once amoeba, then plankton, then fish, then amphibian, then squirrel, goat, dog, cow, giraffe, butterfly, hyena, eagle, whale, bear...(somehow these intelligent cells knew how to create distinctively different species.)

No one actually questions the fact that the dude who invented this path for us to go down, if he were still alive today, would plainly explain that it is a THEORY!  It means that he is still trying to work his way through the thoughts.  He is still working on his THEORY!  So how come we all learn it in school like it is a proven FACT?  Why are we all forced to swallow this as fact?

When you meet a Darwinian ask them to point to ONE example of the change of ‘kind’.  Like the one where dinosaur raptors are the ancestors of birds or the more commonly known, monkey to man theory.  What they will do for you is to invent HUNDREDS of MILLIONS of years on to this ‘theory’ leaving us no way of checking into the believability of this line of thought.  Yet I like many others believed it for a time.

How come they just don’t say that they don’t know, instead of all of this elaborate horseshit of monkey into man crap!

Science tells me about photosynthesis where the chlorophyll in the plant (the green stuff) the molecules of light, mix it with CO2 and then makes oxygen for humans to breath.  My breakdown is obviously a loose translation but though this can be explained, who, whom or what is the architect or engineer?  It is exceedingly organized in its application, easily explained yet is miraculous to watch a pea grow life in a jar of water.  Science helps my understanding of the process of the working parts of all kinds of life yet the “theory of evolution” gets no pass from me.

No one has suitably explained ‘life’ to me.  This wondrous energy that flows through each and every form known to man!  What is life?  What is that thing inserted inside of our skin suits?  Is it inside the suit or is it the aura around the body?  What is life?

I am so obviously not a scientist but much of this “theory” made no sense to me at ten years old or even today.

There is NOTHING wrong with science trying to find explanations for our existence, space, the oceans, the air we breathe but the fact is, we don’t know how any of this works and the people with the explanations are full of shit!  No human has EVER spoken to God and that theory is just that...a theory.

“They” don’t know!

We would feel somewhat chaotic if we didn’t have someone able to explain lots of phenomena in our lives.  There would probably be sheer panic every time there was a tsunami thinking that Poseidon himself was just pissed off at someone or something.  Through science we have learned that earthquakes happen at sea and that is the cause of the tsunami being created.  Within the bullshit there are some real truths as well.  Knowing fault lines does not make Darwin a real story though.
Whether we choose science or the scriptures, we haven’t figured out this relationship between men and women.  THAT ONE, we REALLY don’t know.  Or do we?  Do we remember the centuries of servitude and degradation that we have heaped on to our women?  Even today!  And now we have many women independently claiming their stake in things and having the need to run their own ships.

Whatever we understood about a connection between the sexes has now been severed by a totally new mindset for both sexes.  And none truly knows what to do.  We are all confused.
Living through adolescence where everything is a surprise in relationships to being divorced, dating women again and seeing a different perspective through my own experiences, it is clear that I do not believe that I ever truly related to being in a “relationship”.  What I understood were labels and to living according to those labels.  Boyfriend, girlfriend, fiancé, wife, husband, lover, booty call, we all slide into a role based on the definition of the word we choose to describe ourselves in these relationships.

I find bfs and gfs need a certain amount of text messages and calls throughout the day in order to maintain the relationship.  Someone like me, isn’t that big on frivolous talk so my conversations and texts tend to be shorter than most.  When chastised that the person feels neglected, I become resentful of and for my own time and space being infringed on.  Then there is the need for ‘ownership’ from either or both parties and that is always a no win situation.

We do not own our significant others!

Whatever expectations that they have for you will differ from the one that you probably have for them yet that is never truly discussed or defined...till it is too late.  I see so many people wrongly claim a spouse as “theirs”.  Some folks actually need that as a security blanket...to have the comfort of knowing that they are ‘owned’ by a certain individual and even more importantly, they need others to be aware of their status.  They need their friends to know that they are worthy of partnership and in order to validate it, we brag about the partner to our peer groups.  We brag about the anatomy (favorite body parts) of the spouse, complain about neglect or praise for their love or generosity or what a great job the spouse has, to the prestigious alma mater that they belong to.

Why do we feel that insecure need to brag about our partners over the years?  Some point to the Alpha male / Alpha female search for the best breeder in the pack.  The bragging tells the peer group that ‘you’ are the Alpha yet it is a great illusion by all of us.  We all brag out of pure insecurity.  The humble ones are always quiet.

Both ‘sides’ blame the other.  I have had my share of the blame game yet as I look back I see that my focus was never in the right place.  I felt it but I did not know it.  I did not know the path.  And anyone picking up tips in those store-bought magazines or television talk shows is definitely looking in the wrong place.  Folks used to hit nightclubs looking for Mr. or Mrs. Right.  Then the gym, then Ultimate Frisbee leagues or running clubs or whatever path we seek it is all pretty superficial in its inception.  It has every chance of complete failure from the jump.

Don’t get me wrong , all of the activities above and tons of others bring the sexes together so that we may all preen ourselves and flip up them tail feathers at our intended targets.  It is part of humanity to socialize and I have been in many of the situations above, totally fulljoying those experiences.  I am just breaking down to myself the reality of what it is that I have lived and what I may be able to best articulate. Couples compete for who has the best marriage and children, single dudes compete with the biceps and a nice ride, the single ladies compete with biceps and a nice ride and we find out that somehow, something is missing.  You know that something is missing because you are among the social group more often than you may be comfortable with yet too vulnerable to walk away from the time honored routine of ‘socializing’.

Why can’t I find a good man?

Most asked question by many of my lady friends and acquaintances.  Whenever I am in the presence of a woman or group of women when that query occurs, I would usually get my back up, as some of us do, because in that moment, you are faced with a barrage of horrible things men have done to women that I am expected to defend (or I think that is their intention) and I write them off thinking that “a good man could run you over and your still would not recognize him!”   I then now realized that I am pulled into that divisive strategy that keeps the sexes apart and also a continued walk down this mutually antagonistic path.

What if it has to do with the spirit?  It is not masculine or feminine but a connection of a spiritual energy.  Physical, chemical, intellectual are the ‘attractions’ that we focus on in the magazines because the spiritual connection is impossible to explain by the writer because we are all a part of that bullshit propaganda machine.  The best part of it is the emergence of the narcissist within each and every one of us, pretending it is only movie stars, professional athletes, performers or our asshole friends but no, it is in all of us.  It is our culture!  We are all narcissists!
What is the secret to a great relationship?

We don’t know!

NONE of the experts knows anything.  It is shown over the past few decades especially in so many disposable situations as it pertains to multiple lovers, singly or all at the same time, separations, divorce, crimes of passion, lack of trust of the entire gender.

Darwinian or Creationist, spiritualist, agnostic or atheist feels the same energy within ourselves.  Even though we can’t explain it, all of the energies of this living earth and space are connected.  ALL of our energies are connected!  It is the thing that I have grown to know.  Our spiritual energies connect and each negative situation whether personal, or a death, or a worldwide catastrophe like mass murders, suicides, cop killings, whaling, over fishing, acidic oceans, disappearing bee populations, destroying forest lands, weakens the collective spirit within all.

What I do know, is that a ‘relationship’ is not the purpose of my life.  I do not believe that it is the purpose of any human’s life.  It may be one of the perks of our existence!  I have been what is considered as “in love” in my life and I still view that time as a positive thing and a deeply warm, sunshine-love phase in my life.  I would wish that experience for any person I know.  It was LOVELY!  Yet I did not know what to do with it.  Neither of us knew what it was.  It just felt awesome!

Yet I hearken back to those times and I recognize the disconnection in our spirituality as two people, because everything else was working.  The spiritual energy and connection between us did not seek the same path.  Not a blame thing just recognizing the common denominator within my life experiences.

The people in my life that I have a deeply spiritual connection with, I have in my life forever, whether we are together or not.  Dead or alive, that spiritually energy is eternal.

Because I don’t know anything, I am going to tap into ‘self’ and see the thing in me that brings sunshine to me and to those around me.  I want that all of the time and it can be achieved singly or coupled.  I believe that the spiritual energy is the key in all relationships, in our connection to this planet and this universe.  It is the thing that “they” cannot discuss because it cannot be corralled like a flock of sheep and becomes a dangerous thing if it were enhanced by humans.
It is the force that binds all life.

Because the spirit is weak, the flesh follows.

“They” keep us spiritually decimated!  The path to physical destruction is easier to implement with a spiritually weak populous.  It works like a charm.

“They” makes us feel miniscule and insignificant and dependent on them for this pretty bad information when the answer actually lies within you.  In your spiritual energy!  “They” really don’t know shit but what they know is storytelling and because we are lazy and spiritually inept we are where we are today.

We have all heard this for most of our lives and it took me forever to recognize the truth of it.  The change the world seeks is you...me.

Remove the blinders and debunk the horseshit rhetoric and you will see the truth.  Our leaders and ‘educators’ don’t know shit!  I definitely don’t know any of the scientific or historical propaganda that they have fed into me as a truth.  Time has proven them more as propaganda.  All things are distractions from the real truth of how we are supposed to be.  The physical has usurped the spiritual.  The choice to change the focus is an individual one.  “None but ourselves can free our mind” a very wise man once said.

Jah love to all who can influence through the spiritual language without manipulation.

A night of spirituality, art, illustration, spoken word.  A night of success.  Big up Cue Kirk, a RasTafari lioness who stands firm in the face of huge struggles yet continues to bring the culture forward.
Picture
Yu Heard Meh ~ Post Analysis

RasTafari empress Cue Kirk driven to do her thing continues to push the envelope and do her own show.  Artist, producer, performer, director, taxi service, contract negotiator, roadie, chief cook and bottle washer and a few more jobs just to pull this show off.  Toronto Reggae, www.torontoreggae.ca and CRW www.canadianreggaeworld.com were honored and pleased that Cue asked us to be involved with this showcase.

Native dancers, 8th generation storyteller from South Africa, Jah Paul and the African drummers, Cue herself and the gifted, legendary, innovational, word smith, the real Queen of Canadian hip hop Michie Mee had nuff to say.  The first ever Yu Heard Meh was a force to reckon with.

And a night of great spirituality it was.  The drum was the heartbeat for all performances.  The drum!  The depth of the connection to mother earth the drum goes deep... from earth to heart and back again.
A few videos from the night.

During this planet’s upheaval and turbulent times, it is necessary always to create balance which usually comes in the form of artistic expression through music, spoken word, dance or illustration.  All three are on display at this event.

One of the strengths of our culture is to communicate through music, vibrations, rhythms, sound and movement, even during turbulent times...we sing, we chant.

The brain child of talented, RasTafari empress Cue Kirk, Yu Heard Meh is a path through poetry, dub poetry; “Word, Power & Sound”, who is one of the night’s featured performers bringing the fyah as is her style.

Michie Mee
Canadian, reggae, dancehall, hip hop, pioneer, legend!  That’s who she is!  I’d like to write a number of superlatives about this lady and went to the trouble of asking her for her bio to aid me in the verbiage.  When I read it, I decided to just add the link to remind those who already know and to introduce her to those who do not have the knowledge.

http://michiemee.com/history/

Uber-excited and stoked to hear Michie spit poems and song lyrics.

They say that black people do not read.  Part of that ‘truth’ is that we love / d to listen and hear stories handed down by generations of ‘story tellers’.  This bonded the relationships from children to children and bound them to the adults, teaching reverence and respect to one’s elders and generations of ancestral stories passed down through the years.  8th generation Storyteller Jacqui Du Toit will be there to bring us back to a time when there was far move love in the world.

The event will feature live painting by visual artists Komi Olaf & Malcom Yarde, while the performances are ongoing creating and encouraging a completely art driven evening of performances, poetry, storytelling, talent and love.

While the world does some of its negatives, please come and join and bring the positive, beautiful energy that resides within all of us.

BREAKING NEWS!!!! ~ 22nd August 2016

Unfortunately Komi Olaf is unable to make this event but renowned Reggae Lane mural artist, Adrian Sawtay Hayles has stepped up and will be doing a piece of art live throughout the event (the piece will be for sale at the end) along with Malcolm Yarde doing the same.

Black Murders are Orchestrated to create fear ~ And it Works

Another black lion shot and killed by police.

Lots of people are hurting.  Black Lives Matter under attack from EVERYBODY!

More distraction!  The “system” is moving smoothly and we are all caught up in the vortex of emotion feeding the constant chaos that they keep us in.  And we easily comply with our responses of anger, sadness, happiness, vindication, rage, peace and outrage depending on what side of the fence one sits on.  We are after all human.

The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was to convince the world that he never existed.

The ‘power’ uses the blunt instrument of the police force to keep us in chaos and emotionally charged and reactive to the violence and murders of black people.  It is a ploy that has worked for DECADES!  They kill one that makes the news all over North America and TONS of black people run around scared, feeling helpless against the police, undervalued by the society and government and it is exactly the response that the ‘system’ seeks.  It works like a charm.  It is not a new phenomenon.

Our focus in now police brutality & murder, like the mayor, the premier or the prime minister or the president or the queen or the ‘corporation’ doesn’t sanction these murders.  The police take the brunt of the outrage which they kinda revel in any way as they just “notched another nigger”, so the focus is taken away from our government leaders as well as the head of the colony in Buckingham Palace that sanctions the murders of black lions.  We focus on the police so hard we forget to look and see where their orders come from.  True talk!

White people think that black people are inferior and deserve their plight.  Most who read this will be outraged and get all offended but I have no fucks to give.  It’s been centuries of this for me and mine.  Read a history book.  Any history book!

They will forever enjoy their privilege and power.  One of the best parts of their schemes is that they also get some black people and black leaders to defend their system of oppression and smooth out massa’s message to the rank and file.  The Toms tell us “things are getting better.  They are improving.”   Then another black lion is murdered.  In cold blood!  On the news for all to witness!

IT IS NOT A FLUKE THAT IT WAS TELEVISED / RECORDED FOR SOCIAL MEDIA.

That overt / subliminal message gets sent to keep all us black lions in line.  “We can kill you and there aint shit that you can do about it!”

I always hearken back to The Nation Of Islam and Rev. Louis Farrakahn.  Amerikkka hate and fear him yet the police don’t kill of fuck with members of the Nation.

Now, let’s be clear.  They would love nothing better than to kill him and to disrupt the entire NOI as they did to the Black Panther movement, very successfully breaking it apart, but they haven’t found that path as of yet with the Nation.  Believe me when I tell you that they are looking for that course of action but I suspect that they fear the repercussions of what those actions may bring.  They are aware Farrakahn and the Nation are more than ready and willing to kill, just like them.  He has made that very clear to them.  ‘They’ leave them alone.

As they perceive black people to be the ‘inferior species’ on the planet, white people think that it is their right to own us as well as our resources with no apology.  They rape Jamaica and many in the West Indies and the entire continent of Africa.  It is in ALL of the history books we read yet we expect ‘them’ to relent and treat black people equally.  It has NEVER happened and it NEVER will.
They have had me angry and venting for years now too.  Their system works on me too.  I sometimes get caught up in the vortex of chaos like everyone else.

I have no solution but it is also clear that this current system is not working and don’t look to John Tory or Kathlene Wynn or Justin Trudeau to step up on behalf of black Canadians.  They are a part of the “ruling class” and are paid to protect the colony.

It is US who must conform.  It is US who must accept the status quo.

I won’t!

The thing is, I noticed in *Apartheid South Africa, that black lions were dying daily yet change took forever.  Folks were dying but they weren’t WILLING to die for their cause.  It would be interesting what would happen if 200 - 300 million black Lions and Lionesses decided to be willing to die for freedom and justice.  Many of us won’t.  We too scared of angering massa.

Another part of the system’s use of degradation is the well known and researched phenomenon of the creation of violence in the “hood”.  Where black people denied bank loans to uplift their lives are herded into neighborhoods and their disenfranchised children, kicked out of every high school or program available, have EASY access to firearms and the outlet of ‘crime’.  It is a wonderful colonial scheme in place globally.  So we have “black on black” crime showing niggers inability to “govern themselves”.  None of this is news to any of you.  Many are set up to fail.  The colony is about hierarchy from Elizabeth down to the ghetto.  The ghetto is necessary so some of us feel superior and we are all caught up in that ruse.

I also wish to send love to the families of all of the victims we know and the millions that we don’t know.

Apartheid white people understand that creation and domination of physical wealth is the strength behind their control for centuries now.  We can continue to be outraged and to cry and yell in anger yet my suggestion would be to use this to invest within the black communities.  One can change their circumstances with protection of self.  Promote positive energies amongst self.

How difficult is it to tell black people who worship white Jesus to stop putting their money in the collection plates of their churches every Sunday and to spend that on black businesses for about three months.  No church!  Find black business with products and services that we need or want and purchase from them only.  THREE MONTHS!

One can still praise God free of charge.  I do it every day!

The trauma that all of those children suffer is beyond unbearable.  The trauma of slavery is unbearable.

Racism continues to work because only one race is dying from it. (Between black lions and whites I mean...not discounting Native genocides or Tibetans or other disenfranchised people.)

*The system of Apartheid was created right here in Canada and many of us are living it daily....today, yesterday and tomorrow, skinning teeth and acting like it isn’t happening.

I put in a musical interlude.  From the first time I heard this song by Black Uhuru, I knew they were talking about this same behavior even back then.

Toronto Gun Violence

7/3/2016

1st July 2016

It is most appropriate that I write about this on this day.  The International Reggae Day!
Two people lost their life at an afterhours jam last night.  The babylon report said 5:10am.  One of them is a well known, well loved individual within our community the other I don’t know, a third is still in critical condition and a fourth got treated at St. Mike’s they say.
The negative stigma of the gun gets easily pinned on reggae music once again.  And it wasn’t even at a reggae jam.  But it was black people so it is all the same...right?

What is the issue with the ‘gun dummies’?  Why aren’t they aware of their role as the dregs of the colonial system?  We have the police keeping us in line worldwide with their barbarism against the black race then we have the ‘gun dummies’ within our culture, who do the bidding of the colonial master and kill fellow black people.  I ovastand that they have no real education and the elders can’t reach them as we have no ‘bling bling’ (expensive cars, jewellery, Jordan’s) that will catch their eye, because without that, they respect no one.  The gun culture rules!

Elders like me are such people.  All I do is write a bag a shit and nah help nobody!  Just pontificate a bag a hype.  What can I say?  I feel helpless too.  I want the shit to stop but do not have the words or the power to reach anyone.  But mi a go keep writing cause some people still read and maybe I can inspire the person who can reach these youths.  I am way too angry and condescending to have the right words to speak.

What I know of many of these youths who go to bed every night with one eye open and their right hand on their gun; their life is HELL!  No, I man nah beg nuh sympathy, I am pointing out the life.  No one wants to live in hell!  Know any and every day can or will end violently.  Any and every day could be your day.  I don’t know of any human who could endure such a thing.  But when you live in hell, you have no choice.  Ride or die!  Becomes ride ‘and’ die eventually.

The term ‘gun dummies’ point to the lack of education of the gun carrier.  Some say “it’s just the life.”  Most of us grow up with the term, “live by the gun, die by the gun.” And no statement could be more accurate in this world.  What our youth are so unaware of today that isn’t discussed like we used to, is the grasp of the colonial system’s hold of the course of their lives.  The futility that many feel that “this is the only life I know” or “once you’re in you can’t get out” is all a part of this cause and effect situation.  I know this violence.  I lived through 1970 – 1976 in Kingston, Jamaica, living through that ‘fear’ night and day, every day for that entire time.  That hell is / was created by the babylonian and our children, black children in North America, are placed at the bottom of that babylonian, colonial chain.  That is still as real today as it was in 1970.  The fox continues to scatter the chickens and we spend so much time running for our lives we don’t stop to educate our youth about this killing game.  Saying the system does not care about black life is a gross understatement yet even within said system I realize that one can stop running.  One can take the time to reach out to the ignorant about the gun life and work on educational as well as fiscal alternatives for those with ‘criminal’ records.  Certainly not a quick fix to this issue, yet a necessary move to elevate future generations, which is what Marcus Mosiah was speaking loudly about in 1930.

We (I) sit back thinking that “it is their problem” or “that’s just their life” but no one wants that life.

As a youth, many of my RasTafari elders were the moral and spiritual gatekeepers to Jamaica’s bad bwoys as we were ‘outcasts’ like the gun man so RasTafari did aid to quell some of the violence and reach the youth.  In the United States, The Black Panther movement gave a certain pride to young black males and in the community where the Panthers were, the violence was limited to non-existent.  Babylon had to quash the Panthers and they did so very effectively!  The Nation Of Islam today help many of the black youth to do something besides fight with the law and the ‘law makers’ in the U.S. are well aware to keep their violence away from the NOI and many of those black males and females are at much less risk than a Trayvon Martin per se.  Babylon do not fuck with Black Muslims.  You ever wonder why?  I’ll tell you why...they defend themselves!  The Nation is educated and strong and babylon is now aware that assignation of Rev. Louis Farrakahn won’t change the course of their future because they have dug in deep roots and that tree cannot be shaken any more.  And there is no gun violence in their culture.  The portrayal of the Reverend as “America’s most dangerous man” is about a man who gives actual pride to black people.  There is zero gun violence in the Nation Of Islam outside of the obvious with Malcolm and that is yet to be proven based on suspect babylonian interference.

No, I’m certainly not suggesting that we all join the NOI yet we do need some kind of organized leadership to elevate some of today’s black youth.

Not sure what we have here in Canada, but something does need to change.  There has to be a reaching back to the gun community by the elders and the educators.  The gun culture has to stop winning.  I know, we live in fear of the colonial master through the use of their police force so most everyone toes the line and we also fear the repercussions from our own shottas when we speak openly about them as ‘gun dummies’.  Like I said I am certainly not that person but I do feel that airing the issue may lead to something!  Anything!

Reggae music does NOT breed violence!  Black people are not any more or less violent than any other race in humanity!
If there are any other folks out there who feel like I do, I am all ears as to a working solution to this colonially built issue.  They have us so focussed on the gun that we actually miss the solution within ourselves.  The gun is not the problem.  I am the problem because I know the truth but I’m not strong enough or possibly not brave enough to sacrifice myself to tackle the problem here in Canada.

I heard recently that someone labelled me a “Black Supremist” which of course made me beam with pride because it is the same thing that they called Garvey, Farrakahn, X and other notable people including Muhammed Ali.  I’m not aware of a more peaceful soul than Ali yet he also wore that moniker.  No I am not comparing myself to Ali yet his example is one that has always impressed me.  He was such a brave, humble, wise soul.

The issue again is ‘humanity’.

I’m not a group joiner or a group organizer, even though I recognize the effectiveness of Garvey or the Black Panthers or The Nation...sometimes this invariably gets lost in ideology, corruption or bureaucracy yet anything would be better than the gun violence in our children.

I don’t know what to do but I would really like to stop burying many of our most talented souls already lost and those to come.  I’d like to give hope to the hopeless along with ambition, dreams and goals.
